July 1 Canada Day Festivities in Waskesiu— Start the celebrations off with a pancake breakfast at the Community Hall from 8:00AM to 11:00AM. Parade at Noon. Cake Cutting Ceremony, Singing of O Canada & Flag Raising & speeches held after parade at approx. 1:00PM at the Park Adm. Office building.

July and August – ongoing
Swimming Lessons- A variety of classes are being offered all summer long. Stay tune for exact dates and times.
Breathe Fitness is offering Beach Boot Camp classes at the lake this summer!
Beach Boot Camp classes will be every Tues and Thurs 7pm-8pm. 8 weeks.

July 4-7 Sailing School – Interested in learning how to catch some wind and navigate the waters of Emma Lake? Contact us for more information and/or book your yurt for those dates.
July 14th Waskesiu Children’s Festival — Annual Children’s Festival activities. Events include pancake breakfast 8:30AM to 11:00AM, shows, entertainment, games, barbeque, refreshments; all at the Community Hall and Big Tent on the grounds 12:00PM until 4:00PM. Sponsored by the Waskesiu Chamber of Commerce and Parks Canada.

August 12 Frank Dunn Triathlon in Waskesiu — Annual Frank Dunn Triathlon and Pancake Breakfast ( 8:30am to 11:00am) held at the Community Hall. The race is a 1.5K SWIM – 62K BIKE – 13K RUN.
September
September 5-9 ‘Song writers’ Retreat’ Get mentored through the process and collaborate with other songwriters. Classes take place a the local Kenderdine Campus. Register.
September 15 Rona MS Bike Tour- The day will be filled with great food, entertainment, awards, fun prizes, and of course safe cycling. For more information on the event and registering visit the MS Bike Tours website.
Learn to Fly Fish - If your interested in learning more about the art and science behind fly fishing such as how to tie flies, casting and aquatic entomology. Contact us and we’ll set it up for you. It would make for a great guys (or gals) weekend getaway!
September 29 Outter Limits Fun- a 10km run or 5km walk. Such a great event, there is bag-piper at the start line, bongo drummers and musicians along the route, prizes for the best costumes, lots of fun games on the go, participant gifts that rock, great food, and two kegs of beer!
